I've been listening to a lot of minimal/techno/tribal gems, and I'd like to share some of em with you. This is very minimal/tribal in the beginning, but catches you off guard with an insane transition at around 2:50. It'll give you the goosebumps.

Ed Banger released an LP of techno tracks with contributions by big names like SebastiAn, Djedjotronic, Breakbot, Busy P, and Siriusmo just to name a few. Wouldn't say this album is for everyone. These tracks aren't club bangers nor those Dutch house songs you hear at raves, but more techno and experimental with instrumentals and rhythmic flow.

Skream's remix of I <3 YOU SO is simply amazing. Starts off with heavy piano chords, then comes the drums with the breakish flow, cue the vocals, and enjoy a masterful remix. By far the best one. It's also on the Cassius - I <3 You So EP. Btw, if you're curious who Zdar in the remix title is, he's the 1/2 of the Cassius duo. He started in the game in '88, so he ain't young. But this song sure makes him feel like he is.

When a song title is dubbed an ambitious name, couple things come to mind. 1) Its already got a lot of hype to live up to. 2) It's probably a good track, but could suck. 3) What kind of pompous prick names a track Big Fucking House. After listening, my conclusions is: 1) It lived up to the hype of its name. 2) It's a damn good track. 3) That pompous prick has every right to be pompous.

Gesaffelstein, a new artist that has been making lots of noise in the past week. Just came out with an EP called Variations on the label: Turbo. It takes on the techno blueprint while throwing in acid house. I was taken aback when I listened to the songs.

New song from the upcoming album, Blood Pressures, from The Kills. If this is any indication of their album, wow. The song is dark with a lot of energy. Has the feel of an anthem, a bloody one. Would be perfect as a song in a movie scene where its hero is out for some bloody revenge.

The complexity of this song, along with the rest of the recent SMD songs to be released on their upcoming LP, Delicacies, blows my mind. Each sound is so precisely placed and layered that it seems impossible that two people in a studio could have engineered what sounds like an infinite number of sounds to create a harmonic unity. SMD are mad scientists of techno, producing the Frankensteins of music.
